Multiplex event evening for the launch of the MSG-4 meteorological satellite

Established in 1986, the mission of the European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) is to provide the national meteorological services of its Member and Cooperating States in Europe and a multitude of other users around the world with data, essential satellite images and products for meteorology and climatology, without any interruption 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.

The MSG-4 satellite is part of one of these programs. On the occasion of its launch on 15 July 2015 from the Kourou Space Center and following a European call for tenders won by our agency, Dixit was entrusted with the design and organization of a event at Eumetsat’s head office bringing together institutional personalities, media, VIPs, partners and of course all the staff members.

Our challenge: design a scenography that can fit into an unusual environment, namely the lobby of the headquarters while ensuring visibility and optimal listening to 600 people gathered.

We have designed a TV set with a decor mounted on an arched structure, set up video relay points with high visibility, sounded the entire space and made a spectacular lighting.

We also managed the live broadcast, led by a journalist and many institutional and scientific stakeholders on site and duplex from the Kourou space base and the satellite management center of the European Space Agency also based in Germany.
