28 Aug Vinci, Bouygues and Demathieu Bard win the viaduct market for the new coastal road in Reunion
Produced as part of the call for tenders launched by the Réunion Region, this deliberately educational video summarizes the group’s response to the construction of the new viaduct of the new coastal road in Reunion.
This 5,400-meter long offshore viaduct, the longest in France and along the coast, will link Saint-Denis to La Grande Chaloupe. It is a major element of the new coastal road, two lanes of which will be dedicated to soft modes of transport (buses, pedestrians / cycles). It will replace the current road of the cornice between Saint-Denis and the Possession, exposed to the risks of rockslides and submersion by the swell during cyclonic episodes.
The Viaduct works, worth 715 million euros, will be completed in 2018. This viaduct will be built according to a technical variant proposed by the group, by which more than 95% of the works will be prefabricated on land before to be laid mainly by sea, thus preserving the environment.
The film is made up of images and interviews shot on site by our teams both on land and in helicopters and computer-generated images and digital sequences of the future project.
One of the particularities of the film is the integration of the virtual project with real images to better represent what the project will be.
The film was a great success and is probably one of the elements that contributed to a favorable decision of the jury.
